Hey there Chris! You know I haven't anywhere near as much, and I normally opt to break out more detailed interactions into their own pages/sub-documents, where I will copy in components but detach them from their original instances.

I know that this practice is frowned upon by many, but as of right now (at least in Figma) there really isn't a good way to programatically enforce stylistic conventions across components while allowing designers to make alterations to specific attributes, especially when it comes to interactions.

My hope is that one day we will arrive at a spot where designers are working within visual IDE's that are turning geometry, layouts, and interaction patterns into standarized code which can be applied as front-end directly from the design environment.

I would imagine tools like Webflow, Bubble, etc. will more than likely lead the charge on that movement, but for now, that is the approach that I like to take with respect to interactive components.
