If I could like this article a hundred times I would. This is something that we run into, as designers, more often than we care to admit.
I have done an absolute plethora of B2B and internal work that will never see the light of day by the general public, and it definitely sucks when you can't include it in your portfolio; so when you say that, it resonates with me on a deep level.
That said, I love your article, and I think you bring up some excellent points. We are on the cusp of large-scale changes in organizational UX, and I believe that as companies adapt to a shifting business landscape there will be huge opportunities to innovate.
