Well Kat, that's a good point, and I think it depends a lot on the measuring stick you, your organization, and your stakeholders are using.
As an example, WP and Elementor are typically rather poorly suited to more advanced web applications, specifically creating ground-up solutions in the form of SPAs that rely on front-end libraries and frameworks to generate the UI while holding state.
Elementor is great for getting something out quickly, is significantly faster than coding the front-end of a site from the ground-up, but will almost always fall short for those advanced applications, and in doing so, does, in fact, limit your creative liberty to a pretty fair degree.
For instances such as these, whiteboarding, mocking, and prototyping are going to be your best bet.
